The Our Communion is formed of the a large group of anglicans of all varieties of churchmanship from Anglican Evangelical and Charismatic and Episcopal who share a belief in the historic values of anglican worship and the teaching of the Bible. All of the National Dioceses, Archdioceses and Provinces are autonomous, comprising self-governing churches and families of churches around the world.
In a real sense, we are a "Continuing Church", not a new Church. We continue to believe in everything the Church of England . That is why we call ourselves a Traditional Church. We hold to the Holy Orders of Bishops, Priests and Deacons, and in accordance with the teaching of the Bible and Church Tradition. Anglican Episcopal Communion is the worldwide communion and its a supreme governing body of all churches. We invites all churches and dioceses to our communion.
Historically there have been three main"streams" of worship that have been the experience of Christ's Church; the Anglican , the evangelical and the charismatic. Our Communion seeks to discover and to incorporate the best from each of these traditions. We in our Doctrinal Essentials affirming the authority of Holy Scripture (and our emphasis on preaching and teaching the Bible) and professing the historic confessions of faith (Apostle's and Nicene Creeds). We stress the proclamation of the Gospel not only in our preaching but also in our lifestyles, seeking to reach the lost for Christ. Also, our bishops are in Apostolic Succession.
In obedience to the command of Jesus Christ, we are committed to mission and evangelism in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Anglican Episcopal Communion is a Anglican , Episcopal , Charismatic (Pentecostal), Evangelical church promoting the Gospel of Christ, and adhering to and acknowledging the faith and witness of the one, holy, universal (catholic), and apostolic church throughout the world.
Anglican Episcopal Communion is an Christian organization of churches throughout the Worldwide centered in the Anglican tradition but embracing a traditional and conservative theology and practice. Among these practices are:
- The use of the Book of Common Prayer.
- Belief in the sanctity of marriage as defined in the Bible
- We didn't allow Lesbian and homosexual marriages. We believe that marriage between man and women.
Our worship is liturgical for similar reasons. We believe that worship should be a reverent response to the character of the true and living God, and that it ought therefore to reflect carefully God's revelation of Himself in Scripture. Our worship services therefore are carefully and thoughtfully prepared celebrations of God as revealed in the Bible.
The AEC is a Christian community that emphasizes the authority of Scripture, reverent, Biblically informed worship, and fellowship that is caring, supportive, and challenging. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, authoritative in matters of faith and morals, and we interpret the Bible in light of the historic teachings of the Church; 'what has always, everywhere, and by all been believed'. In addition to the teaching and study of the Word of God, we place great value on the celebration of the sacraments ordained by Jesus to be both a memorial and a means of grace to His people. All are welcome to attend our services, and we invite all baptized Christians who receive Holy Communion in their own churches to receive the sacrament in our congregations.
